What is Claude 3.7 Sonnet?
Leaked references from AWS Bedrock code mention:
“Claude 3.7 Sonnet is Anthropic's most intelligent model to date and the first Claude model to offer extended thinking—the ability to solve complex problems with careful, step-by-step reasoning.”
The code also hints that Anthropic might let users choose between instant or extended thinking modes, enabling you to balance speed vs. deeper, more methodical problem-solving. Coupled with Anthropic’s signature “Constitutional AI” alignment approach, we can expect Claude 3.7 Sonnet to excel at:
Complex Reasoning
Tackle multi-step logic, intricate constraints, and advanced decision-making.Coding
Strong generation and debugging across popular languages, plus new agentic “computer use” capabilities.Knowledge-Intensive Tasks
Summarizing, analyzing, and drawing insights from large knowledge bases.Creative & Humanlike Interaction
Polished, clear writing with anthropic’s hallmark civility and style.
Stay tuned for official confirmation—once Anthropic announces availability, you’ll see Claude 3.7 in the Requesty Router’s Model List.

Tools We’re Targeting for Claude 3.7
We’re busy prepping integrations so that once Anthropic flips the switch on Claude 3.7 Sonnet, you can try it in all your favorite AI coding and chat tools, including:
1. Cline
A coding assistant with an in-editor and CLI interface. Simply select Requesty as your provider, paste your key, and pick the Claude 3.7 model once it appears in the Model List.
2. Roo Code
An open-source coding environment that uses LLMs for code suggestions, refactoring, and search. Roo Code already supports Requesty. Just swap the model ID to anthropic/claude-3.7-sonnet-beta
(or whichever final ID Anthropic chooses).
3. OpenWebUI
The popular browser-based LLM UI that natively supports OpenAI-compatible endpoints. You can point it at https://router.requesty.ai/v1
, enter your Requesty API key, and pick Claude 3.7 from the model dropdown.
4. Leo AI in Brave
Brave’s experimental AI assistant, “Leo,” can be pointed to external LLM endpoints in advanced configurations. We plan to provide an easy setup guide so you can harness Claude’s extended thinking in your browser.
5. Goose for AI Agents
Goose is a new framework for building multi-step reasoning agents that can handle tasks like web research or API calls. Goose will let you plug in Claude 3.7 as the underlying LLM for sophisticated agentic workflows.
6. Crew AI
Designed for collaborative chat and real-time brainstorming, Crew AI is hooking into Requesty for advanced group problem-solving with large contexts. Perfect for hackathons, product design sessions, or team coding.
7. Cursor
A code editor with GPT-like completions. Cursor recently introduced a plugin-based approach to add new model endpoints. We’re finalizing a plugin that seamlessly integrates with Claude 3.7 for advanced code generation.

What to Expect from Claude 3.7 (Early Rumors)
Extended Thinking Toggle
Possibly a new parameter letting you choose “standard” or “extended” reasoning, trading speed for depth.Hefty Context Windows
Past Claude versions soared above many rivals with 100k+ token contexts. We anticipate expansions or new memory features.Agentic Computer Use
The leaked code says “agentic capabilities,” suggesting built-in tool invocation, e.g., reading files, calling APIs, or scanning images.Quality Control & Speed Gains
The “3.7” naming suggests a next iteration on the “3.x” foundation. Expect incremental improvements in coding, generation, factual accuracy, and style.
Of course, until Anthropic confirms final features, this is all speculation—but we’ll be ready the moment they push it live.
